The British Mail Rail was an underground postal railway service that was abandoned in 2003. A Cloth bound book features the words of Mike Sullivan - an ex Mail Rail employee, talking about the lost service.
The small 80cm wide carriages would shuttle post throughout the day. The chapter on tunnels was mimicked with an 80cm long
To evoke the cramped feeling of riding on the carriages, I chose a large type size throughout the book to ‘overcrowd’ each page.Brief:
